G&E Sales takes part in a successful business trip to Poland by a Bavarian delegation

From May 7th to 10th, G&E Sales was privileged to participate in a high-level business delegation to Poland, consisting of over 35 Bavarian business and political representatives, led by State Secretary Tobias Gotthardt and organized by Bayern International. The focus was on "Green Deal: Energy Efficiency and Digitalization in Production" and allowed us to delve into the dynamic Polish market. Poland is Germany's fifth largest trading partner with an export volume of €92 billion. Through briefings, industry discussions, receptions, pitches, networking events, get-togethers and site visits, we interacted with Polish companies, industry experts and political figures and made connections with potential partners.

In Warsaw, the business delegates received a comprehensive briefing from the Polish Chamber of Commerce, gained key insights from market and legal authorities, and participated in an experience exchange session hosted by Flottweg Polska. The political delegates engaged in dialogues with the Board of the AHK Poland and representatives of the German Embassy. The first day ended with an evening reception and networking with AHK Poland member companies.

The following day, the delegation participated in sectoral discussions on energy and IT, organized by Bayern Innovativ and moderated by JDP Drapała & Partners. At the same time, the political delegation held briefings and strategic meetings with Polish ministers. We then boarded the high-speed train to Katowice to attend the European Economic Congress (EEC). The congress featured panel discussions on geopolitics, energy, security, sustainable economy, digital technologies, legal and economic issues, and labor market policy. We also met with a political delegation from the United Arab Emirates, led by His Excellency Rashed Al Blooshi, to discuss digitalization, sustainable development, and industrial innovation. Our trip continued to Krakow for a networking event with local government officials, industry experts and associations. In Krakow, the political delegation visited MAN Trucks in Niepołomice, while the business delegation attended a business breakfast with pitches and networking hosted by AHK Poland.

Bayern Innovativ's international scouting project identified key areas of cooperation between Bavarian companies and Poland, such as export opportunities, including additive manufacturing, electric transport drives, composite materials, lightweight construction, recycling technologies, biogas and digital production. R&D and innovation partnerships, such as AI in medicine, hydrogen production and hydrogen-powered production were mentioned as well. The opportunities for imports, such as gaming, energy storage and augmented reality in manufacturing.

The trip helped G&E Sales build relationships and gain more insight into the needs of the Polish market.
